The men’s New Balance Supercomp Rebel V1 features a carbon-composite plate (Energy Arc) built into the midsole. The plate rewards good running technique and muscle fitness by returning energy from the landing phase into your push-off.

We don’t recommend this shoe for beginners or slow-paced running: the midsole and plate construction really comes into its own at faster paces.
