Joutsen Velho

The down jacket, redesigned from a fresh approach! The men’s and women’s Joutsen Velho (Finnish for Wizard) anorak keeps you warm just as well on city streets as on the trail at a rest stop or pottering around camp. Lightweight fabrics and genuine down fill make the Velho pack down small when needed.

Joutsen sorts its garments into three different warmth categories. The Velho sits at level two, meaning it offers a good dose of warmth without being bulky.

The fit is roomy, as is the neck opening: if you like, you can pull the Velho straight over, for example, a hiking jacket, a shell jacket or a lightweight down jacket. If you’re on the slim side and want a regular fit from this piece, choose one size smaller than the size chart suggests.

Joutsen down jackets carry the Design From Finland label, a mark of Finnish design and responsible manufacturing. The jackets are filled with responsibly produced down, a by-product of meat production. The down is cleaned at our Joutsen’s own processing plant without hazardous chemicals.
